The Western Water Polo Association’s leading goalscorer has been dubbed Offensive Player of the Week for the second time this season (Jan. 15-21, 2024). Junior attacker Veralie Naranjo led Biola with 11 goals over the four-game Barbara Kalbus Invite, capping the weekend off with a seven-goal performance in a sudden-victory win over NCAA Division I Cal State Fullerton. Naranjo scored the Eagles’ final four goals of the game, including two in the last 2:43 to force overtime. She scored with 2:36 remaining to force the winner-takes-all session and then buried her final tally with 1:50 on the clock.
