WWPA announces Players of the Week

The Western Water Polo Association honors the Offensive and Defensive Players of the Week for the week of Sept. 16-22, 2024.

WWPA Offensive Player of the Week

WWPA Honorable Mention standout Forrest Gray registered seven goals against NCAA Division I opponent George Washington in the Sunbirds' home opener. He added two assists, four drawn exclusions and two steals. He's shooting .588 (10-for-17) on the season and ranks third on FPU in total points.

WWPA Defensive Player of the Week

McKendree goalkeeper Jimmy Cronin had two double-digit save performances against Division I opponents, tallying 12 against Long Island and 10 versus Bucknell. The Naperville, Ill. native leads the WWPA in saves-per-game (10.3), is third in total saves (62) and fourth in save percentage (.388%).
