Daniela Passoni, Cal State East Bay

2023 WWPA Player of the Year Daniela Passoni, a four-time All-American and three-time WWPA First Team selection, has been named the WWPA Defensive Player of the Week. Passoni, who is currently in Qatar for the World Aquatics Championships with the South Africa National Team, put up a .548 save percentage last weekend against NCAA Division I competition. The senior from Waverly, South Africa made 23 total saves, including 11 against No. 16 Pacific.
