Grace Mensing, Cal State Monterey Bay

Cal State Monterey Bay’s sophomore goalkeeper, Grace Mensing, has been named WWPA Defensive Player of the Week following a solid home series at the Kelp Bed. Mensing registered 17 saves in both of the Otters’ contests over the weekend, including CSUMB’s win over future WWPA member UC Merced. The Cameron Park, Calif. native leads the WWPA in saves (72), save percentage (.545) and goals-against average (11.49).
