Biola netminder Mitchell Carpenter has earned WWPA Defensive Player of the Week honors for the second time this season after anchoring the Eagles to a perfect 6-0 week. He stopped a season high 23 shots (.793 save percentage) against McKendree and then ended the weekend with 19 more against Mount St. Mary’s (Md.). The junior from Yucaipa, Calif. Finished with 77 saves on the week, averaging 12.83 saves in the process. He leads the WWPA in saves (184) and steals (27).
