Concordia’s Soto, Greenawalt headline 2026 Division II All-America team
Western Water Polo Association (WWPA) champion Concordia took its winning ways into the postseason following the release of the 2026 Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches (ACWPC) Division II All-America team.
CUI goalkeeper Jaden Soto was named Player of the Year, and Casey Greenawalt earned Coach of the Year following the Golden Eagles' first WWPA title and appearance at the National Collegiate Women's Water Polo Championship.
Salem assistant coach Duarte Costa was tabbed Assistant Coach of the Year.
The WWPA saw a total of 12 student-athletes within the conference honored, with Courtney Repinz (Salem), Gwendolyn Pidd (Biola), Mia Hueston (Concordia), Emma Cook (Fresno Pacific), Bella Morquecho (McKendree), and Anna Tyukasz (Concordia) joining Soto on the First Team.
The Honorable Mention squad consisted of Olivia Gutierrez (Cal State Monterey Bay), Maria Martinez (Gannon), Matipa Karimazondo (Salem), Keri Brooks (Salem), and Fernanda Luna (Biola).
Greenawalt's Golden Eagles made program history during their inaugural campaign within the Western Water Polo Association, capturing their first conference crown en route to a 20-10 overall record. CUI clinched the West Region's No. 1 seed and then tripped up two-time conference champion Biola in the final. He mentored a conference-high six All-WWPA selections.
Soto, an All-WWPA First Team selection, earned WWPA Championship Most Outstanding Player following a tournament in which she posted an .824 save percentage and a 3.00 goals-against average. In the deciding match against the Eagles, Soto made 13 saves and limited Biola to a season-low three goals.
Costa, who was an All-American himself as an undergrad while competing for the Tigers, helped guide Salem to an East Region title and a 15-7 record - its most wins since 2022.
Salem's Repinz, the WWPA's Most Valuable Player, moved up to the First Team after spending 2025 on the Honorable Mention squad.
McKendree's Morquecho is the only repeat First Team All-American on this year's list.
