In McKendree's lone matchup of the weekend, Shanelle Márquez delivered a key performance to help the Bearcats secure a thrilling 14-11 overtime road victory over rival and Division III No. 5 Augustana. The junior attacker filled the stat sheet in the win, pacing the offense with a game-high five goals on 55% shooting while adding two steals, two field blocks, and a drawn exclusion. Márquez has been a thorn in Augustana’s side in 2026; her four goals against the Vikings back on Feb. 8 provided the difference in the Bearcats’ one-goal victory during the Lischwe Memorial Invite. The Spaniard ranks 10th in the WWPA with 1.8 goals per game.
